Run For A Radish

Summer Event 2024

Vegetables are mainly grown in large fields crammed in with only identical members of their family. Radishes are members of the Brassicaceae (mustard or cabbage) family and so we encourage participants of the run to be accompanied by any member of this family for this annual opportunity for them to get to know their relatives. Racism has become a large part of daily life for vegetables in the field and this is a chance to spread understanding and tolerance. The root is also related to kale, broccoli, caulifower, and horseradishes, so members from these families are also encouraged to be brought along!

A Million Leaves Walk

Autumn Event 2023

Every year, millions of lettuce leaves have their lifespan cut short by a mysterious phenomenon that can be eradicated entirely by us making a simple change - one which we welcome you to walk in the name of! Most people are unfortunately unaware that lettuce shouldn’t be stored near apples, bananas, or any other ethylene-emitting fruits. Ethylene causes lettuce to ripen super fast and start to decay rapidly, cutting their lifespans significantly and causing untold unnecessary cruelty.

Adopt An Aubergine Day

Winter Event 2023

Aubergines are technically a fruit. So not only are they disregarded from the moral conversation that always surrounds animals, but even among vegetable rights activists they often find themselves unrepresented. The most vulnerable in society often have the most to offer when given the chance

Childrens Day Petting Zoo -
(pumpkins, cabbages, baby potatoes)

Summer Event 2024

A good, fun family day out for you and your kids. Children are the future of our planet and we encourage you to bring them along so they have a chance to connect with some of our most common farm vegetables. There's no better way to teach children to connect with vegetables as individuals like sharing moments together and letting them play! We hope you're as excited as we are about all these amazing learning opportunities and wonderful experiences! Always remember - let's root for eachother and watch eachother grow!
