'As Long As They're Given A Good Life'

We hear this a lot, and well, they aren't.

The vast majority of animals bred for their products and flesh live miserable lives full of suffering. In the US, 99% of animals are factory farmed. In the UK it's at least 70%, with similar numbers in the EU. Globally, it's estimated around two-thirds of farm animals are factory farmed. It's a depressing existence, and one that's forced on them buy your choice to buy meat, dairy, eggs and other non-food related animal products.

Even if you are one of those amazingly considerate people that only buys meat from your fictitious uncles 'super duper humane disneyland-esque kill them with loving hugs, kisses and kindness' farms, they're still killed at a fraction of their natural lifespan and they're still mostly killed on the same slaughterhouse floors as the factory farmed animals.

Would you consider your pet dog or cat to have been given a 'good life' if they were lowered into a gas chamber at 6 months old?

As Long As They're Given A Good Life: Welcome
